He was predeceased by: his brother John DeBassio; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia DeBassio and George Bevilacqua. He is survived by: his wife Frances "Sully" DeBassio; his children, Denise P. Champagne (Joseph P. Champagne, Jr.) of Grafton and Daniel J. DeBassio III (Angela M. DeBassio) of Costa Mesa, CA; his grandchildren, Daniel J. DeBassio, Joseph P. Champagne III, Kayla D. Champagne, William P. DeBassio and Marisa R. DeBassio; and his siblings, Arlene Bevilacqua and Paul DeBassio (Ellie DeBassio).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Yarmouth (58 Long Pond Dr, South Yarmouth, MA 02664). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Church (5 Barbara St, South Yarmouth, MA 02664).
