He was predeceased by: his son Brian Gallant; and his brother Paul Gallant. He is survived by: his wife Karen Gallant (Silva); his children, Suzanne Brzezinski (Peter) of Mattapoisett, Sarah Gallant of Fall River, A. J, Bodington and Wareham; his grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Brian, Leah, Emily, Scotty, Jacob, Trae and Xander; his great grandchildren, James and Noah Stephen; and his sister Deborah Murphy of Fitchburg.
