It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter DeFilippi of West Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paolo DeFilippi and Benvenuta DeFilippi (Pernice); his wife Edith Lappe (Tusha); his sister Tosca (John Pandolfi); his son-in-law Bob Asselin; and his nephew David Pandolfi (Irene Gutowski).
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Asselin of Southwick, Joanne Conway (Jay Moran) and Janine (Peter Cassell); his grandchildren, Gina Asselin, Lindsey Asselin, Alex Cassell, Sydney Cassell and Chris Rumplik; his great grandchildren, Mya and Caroline Bolk; and his close friend Carol Santilli of West Springfield. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
