It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Sheil of West Springfield, Massachusetts, born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Voghel (Cote) and Hilaire Voghel; her husband James A. Sheil; her grandson Matthew Joseph DeVita; her children-in-law, Donna Sheil and Francis Lacombe; and her siblings, Laurent, Adrian Voghel and Margaret Desnoyers.
She is survived by: her children, Peter (Ellen), Rachel Lacombe, Marianne Britt (Vin), Jim (Karen), Patrice Afflitto (Michael), John (Christine), Kathryn Sady (Ed), Regina Graydon (Noel), Christopher (Diane), Colleen DeVita (Andrew), Margaret Cecchetelli (Tedd), Michael (Debbie) and Jeanne Marie Phaneuf (Paul). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
