It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H Babcock Jr. (West Springfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Lena Babcock (Morin). He is survived by: his wife Alice; his sister Rita; his nieces and nephews, Debra (Rich), Diane (Chuck), Corry (Ann-Louise), Jeff (Joyce), Lisa (Tom) and Kathleen; and his extended family, Keith, Kristen, Kim and Kyle. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home (1043 Westfield St, West Springfield, MA 01089). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Church (47 Pine St, West Springfield, MA 01089).
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital in memory of James.
