He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Kay Pinkerman; his son Jack Pinkerman Jr. (Chunya); his grandchildren, Jack and Ling; his son Donald Pinkerman (Karen); his grandchildren, Kate, Matthew (Amanda) and Sarah; his son Theodore J. Pinkerman (Kathy Pinkerman); his grandson Theodore J. Pinkerman Jr. (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Susan Moore (James), Scarlett, Paxton and Hazel; his brother-in-law Robert Milar (Donna); and also, Alexandra Mahoney (Kyle), Haley Halter (Justin) and Julia Moore.

In 2013, he received the Ray Distefano Award for his contributions to the community.
