He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sullivan and Margaret Sullivan (Connelly); his siblings, Richard Sullivan, Elinor Foley, Ernest Sullivan and Margaret Gulla; and his nephew Michael Sullivan.
He is survived by: his close friend Susan Ross; his sister-in-law Nancy Sullivan; and his nieces and nephews, Siobhan, Maeve Foley, Eileen Sullivan, Deirdre Stiles, Philip Gulla, Charles, John, Timothy, Hugh and Brian Sullivan.
