He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marshall Thomas and Sophie Thomas (Haddad); his wife Evelyn (Solomon); his sons, Marshall III, John and Jimmy; his daughters-in-law, Corinna, Anna and Kelli; his grandchildren, Dalton, James, Tyce of Marshall, JJ and Chase; and his siblings, Ernest Thomas, George Thomas, Victoria Thomas and Herbert Thomas.
