She was predeceased by: her parents, George N. Heos, Sr. and Mary N. (Kapetanakis); and her brother George N. Heos, Jr.. She is also survived by her colleagues, friends.

A chemist at a time when females in science were few and far between, she made significant contributions to the field in her work at MIT.
