He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon P. and Catherine L. Mitchell, Sr. (Cronin); and his brothers, Raymond S. Mitchell and Frederick H. Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, Catherine L "Kay" Doyle (John) of Seabrook Beach, NH, Frances M. "Fran" Munroe of Newburyport, James R. Mitchell of Williamsburg, VA and Donald D. Mitchell (Nancy) of West Newbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as several great grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gordon's name to Immaculate Conception Church 42 Green St. Newburyport, MA 01950.
