She was predeceased by: her parents, James P. Akins and Madeline Akins (O'Neil); her brothers, James P. Akins Jr. and Charles M. Akins; and her nephew Thomas J. Akins.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Shirley Akins of Exeter, NH; and her nephews, Richard M. Akins (Ann) of Hampton, NH and Charles M. Akins Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Medway. She is also survived by 6 grandnieces and 2 grandnephews.
