He was predeceased by: his son Roger L. "Butch" Plante, Jr.; his siblings, Rita Johnson and Raymond Plante; and his parents, Louis Plante and Louise A. Plante (Fauveau).
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Plante; his daughters, Mary L. Para, Karen E. Davis (Randy) and Patricia A. Saunders (Bill); and his grandchildren, Jeffery, David, Cindy, Andrea, Timmy, Chris, Amanda, Lynn, Paul, Matthew and Nicholas. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
