He was predeceased by: his parents, June F Monaghan (Holbrook) and Robert R Monaghan, Sr.; his stepmother Shirley Monaghan Burrows; and his sister Carole Canwell (Monaghan). He is survived by: his son Robert R Monaghan, III of Quincy; his siblings, Wayne F Monaghan of Hingham and Lynn Monaghan Zopatti of West Bridgewater; his nieces and nephews, Jean Payne, June Canwell, Jessica McDonald, Jacquelyn Coveney, John Canwell, Jeff Canwell and John Hall; and his stepsisters, Sheila M Brown of Fl and Lorraine J Chapman of Rockland.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 788 Liberty St, Braintree, MA 02184.
