She was predeceased by: her husband Walter H. Emerson Sr.; her parents, John Dednah and Ruth Dednah (Matthews); and her sister Audrey McCabe. She is survived by: her children, Walter H. Emerson Jr. (Kathleen) of Easton, Audrey Daley of Raynham, Donna Brennan (Joseph) of Brockton and Ellen Walker of Brockton; her grandchildren, Julie Glass (Ryan), Susan Berghoff (John), Robert King, Lauren Kennedy (Brenden), Walter Emerson III (Wendee Lincoln), Jason Emerson, Amanda Cox (James) and Richard Walker III; and her siblings, Gladys Gioiosa, Howard Dednah, Earl Simmons and Harold Dednah. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
