John DELMONICO wrote a sympathy message

“To the McCarthy family, I am very sorry for your loss. I had the good fortune of being paired with Dick at a Brae Burn one day tournament. I was a new member and a bit nervous playing with three strangers as the “new guy”. Dick relaxed me right away with his calm and kind demeanor. He could’ve easily brushed me off but going forward, every time I bumped into him, he’d remember my name and ask me about my family, etc. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Respectfully, John Delmonico”
