He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rose and Edna Rose (Nielsen); and his wife Mary P Schlegel (McIntyre). He is survived by: his brother William Schlegel; his children, Deborah Debenedictis (Antonio) and Peter Schlegel (Samantha Pfeifer); his grandchildren, Pauline Preis (Thomas), Dominique Trappey (Francois), Vincent Maietta (Intira), Anne Collins (Nicolaus), Luke Maietta (Julia), Andrew Schlegel (Rachel), Nicholas Schlegel and Lucy Schlegel; and his great grandchildren, Estelle Marie Trappey, Phoebe, Patrick Preis and Connor Maietta.
