He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson R. Martin and Elin Martin; his siblings, Claire (David Austin), Richard 'Dickie Martin, Joseph Miskiewicz, Doris (Bob Norcross) and Shirley Lee; and his friends, Joan Allen, Bill Celko, Claire Labby, Frank and Anita Socha.
He is survived by: his sister Esther Miskiewicz (Dudley); his sister-in-law Marcia Martin (Pomfret); his friends, Dave Allen and Jackie Celko; his daughter Nancy (Len); and his granddaughter Krystyanna Ramsdell (Millbury). He is also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Donations can be made in his name to Auburn Elks Chapter #2118 in Honor of the Quilts of Valor, which he was awarded in 2016.
