She was predeceased by: her husband David Smith; her parents, John Carpenter and Dorothy Carpenter (Dissosway); and her sister Barbara Remington (Carpenter). She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth and Eric (Joy); her grandson Jackson Ellsworth; and her brother David Carpenter (Jeanne) of Mississippi. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
