She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur R. Laythe; her sister Ada Malone of Tenn; and her parents, William H. Crook and Matilda Crook (Hale). She is survived by: her children, Edna Rodgers of Arkansas, Matilda Laythe of Washington, Wanda Therrien, Pamela Moulton of Florida, Thomas Laythe of Indiana, David Laythe and William of Washington, DC; her grandchild Ota Faye; and her siblings, Haskell Crook of Tenn, Ada Willoghby of Tenn, Alene McMahan of Tenn, Bertie Barrette of Tenn and Lottie Cook of Tenn. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
