Cresencia Rivera Obituary

Webster – Cresencia Rivera, 92, passed away in the comfort of her sleep on Thursday June 9, 2022.

Cresencia was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on June 17, 1929, daughter of the late Sixto and Emerita (Cajga) Ruiz. She worked at Steven's Linen for many years prior to her retirement.

In her passing she left behind a large, loving family. She is survived by her children; Ana Durocher and her husband Richard and their children Amy, Stanley, and James Durocher, Emerita Rivera, William Rivera, David Rivera, Luz Divina Rivera (late) and their many grandchildren; Justine, Andrew, Edwin, Adam, Amy, Tammy, Tim, Regina, Annette, Shaina and Jenelle. She was an avid writer and lover of poems and would continue to recite her own late into her life. Her favorite flower was simply red roses. One woman created a world of possibilities within this family. Her memory, sense of humor and love for life and God will continue on with every one.

Private committal services will be held in Mount Zion Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
