“So sad to hear of Rita's passing. She was a welcome presence in our life as a friend of my mother, Genevieve. I remember her smile, always so happy to hear of our milestones, her wonderful cooking, her love of nature and Cape Cod, her warm smile & welcoming ways. I recall her rushing over to my mother's with a gorgeous bridesmaid cake for the rehearsal dinner for my sister's wedding in 2003. It is sad to think of a world without Rita and her kindness.
