He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Frances G. Russo (Merlino); his children, Kathy Peters (Jim) of Tewksbury, Karen Mathis (Ron) of Belmont and Kim Rooney (Kevin) of Watertown; his grandchildren, Marie Mathis, Julie Griswold (Eric), Kevin Rooney, Jimmy Peters and Kyle Rooney (Abbie); and his great grandchildren, Lincoln and Iris. He was also cherished by many nieces & nephews.
