Phyllis A. McCarthy Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis A. McCarthy of Watertown, Massachusetts, born in Waltham, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 25, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Collins and Alice Collins (Murdock); her spouse Thomas F. McCarthy, Sr.; her child Thomas F. McCarthy, Jr.; and her brother John Collins.

She is survived by: her children, Sheila M. Hopkins of Truro, Kevin J. McCarthy (Mary Jean Brown) of Hamden, Susan M. Ingraham of Portland, Marilyn J. Salvas (James) of Watertown and Shevaun E. Baker (Tim) of Fitchburg; her grandchildren, Joseph Gorman, Donna Gorman, Jessica Gebhardt, Mark Hopkins, Brian Hopkins, Thomas McCarthy, Roseanne True, Justine Zimbardi, Jenny Horton, Ashley Doyle, Ted Ingraham, Andrew Salvas, Jackie Salvas, Amanda Vreelend and Jennifer Cormier; her daughter Phyllis A. 'Pam Gorman; and her siblings, Richard Collins, William Collins, Catherine 'Kay', Mary Patterson and Olive Melanson. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
