He is survived by: his wife Elaine Marie MacKinnon (Boudreau); his sons, John D. MacKinnon, Jr. (Renee) and David M. MacKinnon; his grandchildren, Jeremy MacKinnon, Alyssa MacKinnon, Kaitlin MacKinnon and Hannah MacKinnon; his great grandchild Jaxson Silvestri; his siblings, Mary MacFarlane, Catherine Smith (P. A.), Neil MacKinnon (Sandra), Jimmy MacKinnon, Jessie MacKinnon, Jeanette Campbell (Jackie), Sandy MacKinnon (Jane), Dan MacKinnon and D. A. MacKinnon; and his sister-in-law Carrie MacKinnon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
