James V. Dragone Obituary

He was predeceased by: his wife Rose M. Dragone (Carroccino); his daughter Karen J. Norton Dragone; and his parents, Giuseppe Dragone and Rose Dragone (Marchio). He is survived by: his son James A. Dragone; his siblings, Angie Pinnone, Frank, Albert (Lenora), Mary (Carl) and Sandra (Charles); his granddaughter Nicole Luhrs (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Dominic, Katalena and Gavin Luhrs; and also Maureen DiRusso. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, family and best friend.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeVito Funeral Home (761 Mt Auburn St, Watertown, MA 02472). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (770 Mt Auburn St, Watertown, MA 02472). An entombment was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Auburn Cemetery (580 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138).

“Mr. Dragone was an absolute treasure and will be missed. I always enjoyed his visits to my office when he would stay at his condo in Florida. Quick with a laugh and a smile, Jim was a pleasure to know. He always had a way to make my day and would stop by to share the latest stories of his adventures with the horses or tales from Boston.
