Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jack McDermott of Watertown, Massachusetts, born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 83, on June 19, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary McDermott (Finnegan) and Michael J. McDermott; his siblings, Marjorie Spinello and Joseph McDermott; his siblings-in-law, Jim Spinello and Mildred McDermott (O'Brien); and his niece Cathy McDermott.

He is survived by : his wife Dorothy McDermott (Leone); his children, John, Laura McDermott of Newton, Karen McDermott of Brooklyn, NY and Stephen McDermott of Watertown; his brother Michael McDermott of Watertown; and his grandchildren, Jeff, Alison McDermott, Charlotte and Emma Skillman.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Andrew Magni & Son Funeral Home (365 Watertown St, Newton, MA 02458). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (212 Main St, Watertown, MA 02472).
