She was predeceased by: her spouse Robert O. Butler; her sibling Francis X. Carroll; and her grandchild Kasey McPhail. She is survived by: her children, Pamela J. McPhail (William Mason), Shawn C. Sturtevant, James R. Sturtevant and Robert E. Butler; her grandchildren, Jason McPhail, Matthew McPhail, Jake Glancy, Bryan, Shawn, Angelina and James Sturtevant; and her siblings, James P. Carroll (Barbara) of Nashua, John T. Carroll of Watertown, Mary A. Bonilla (late Carlos) of Billerica and Lauramae Duffy (Thomas) of Easton. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
