He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. O'Connell and Mary F. O'Connell (McGrath) of Medford; and his sibling Thomas O'Connell of Melrose. He is survived by: his children, Karen M. Bilodeau (Tom) of Framingham, Deputy Chief Kevin E. O'Connell, Nancy of Waltham, Timothy P. O'Connell, Claire of Waltham and Tricia O'Connell (Scott Arrighi) of Waltham; his siblings, Bob O'Connell of Peabody and Bernice McAteer of Burlington; his pet Nobu; and his siblings, Paul O'Connell of Peabody and Barbara Fitzgerald of Concord. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
