He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine T. Vanderwal (Barry); and his parents, William J. Vanderwal, Sr. and Margaret A. Vanderwal (Muncey). He is survived by: his sister Margaret Rollins of Carlisle; his sister-in-law Kathleen "Kay" Robinson of Danvers; and his nieces and nephews, Doreen Clausnitzer, Jessica Torrey, Alexander Rollins, Barry Robinson and Keith Robinson.
