He is survived by: his children, Tahlia Tavares-Mann (Lincoln) of Middleboro and Derek S. Tavares (Michelle) of Mattapoisett; his close friend Carol Sheehan of Wareham; his stepdaughters, Lorna Brunelle, Elizabeth Poirer of Middleboro, Kristy Fernandes Asebedo of San Diego and Lynne Roupa of Middleboro; his siblings, Terry Lee Tavares of New Bedford, Thomas F. Tavares, Jr. of Wareham, Nadine Tavares of Wareham and Della M. Silvia of Wareham; his grandchildren, Tyler Lambert, Madison Tavares, Trey Mann and Avery Tavares; his stepgrandchildren, Zachary and Melanie Roupa of Middleboro; and his great grandchildren, Adeline and Penelope Lambert.
