She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Mathews (Nunes) and Ernest Mathews; her grandson Scott A. Monteiro, Jr.; and her brothers, Louis Mathews, Lawrence Mathews and Ernest Mathews, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Edwin P. Monteiro, Jr. of Wareham, Michael Monteiro (Paula) of Buzzards Bay, Scott Monteiro, Sr. of Wareham, Wendy Monteiro of Onset, Anthony Monteiro (Clare) of Onset, Marié Young (Paul) of Palm Harbor, FL, Sinceré Goodman (Jeffrey) of Wareham and Anastatia Andrade (Shawn) of Onset; her siblings, Ronald Mathews of Middleboro and Pearl Barrows of Wareham; her aunt Rose Nunes of Wareham; her grandchildren, Heather, Monica, Nicholas, Michael Jr., Stefan, Dakota, Dallas, Derek, Jeffrey, Garrett, Margeaux, Marcus and Meghan; and her great grandchildren, Sophia and Madison. She is also survived by loving Mother to her 8 children and her grandchildren.
