He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Assad and Margaret Assad (Azar); and his brother Ronald Assad. He is survived by: his wife Sandra A. Assad (Louis); his daughters, Cindi A. Assad of Wareham and Shari A. Aussant (Terrence) of Middleboro; his grandchildren, Cullen, Griffin and Gracie; and his siblings, Carol Guimond of Tiverton and Gerald Assad of Berkley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
