He was predeceased by: his wife Lois F. Spang (Smith); his parents, Philip Spang and Alice Spang (Higgins); and his siblings, Philip Spang, Jr. and Betty McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, James R. Spang, Jr. (Susan) of Salem, CT, Catherine A. Hill of Berkley Springs, WV, Mary J. Maag (Roger) of Marion and Doreen L. Bisson of Barrington, NH; his sister Janet Dunne of Walpole; his grandchildren, William Spang, Matthew Spang, Nicholas Hill, Daniel Hill, Alex Maag, Andrew Maag, Elizabeth Bisson and Jeremy Bisson; and his great grandchild Sophie Hill. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Wareham (2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham, MA 02571). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (94 High St, Wareham, MA 02571).
