He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Alice Smith Jr. (Burke); and his daughter Renee Ponchel. He is survived by: his brother Jim; his wife Maria Smith (De Natale) of Wareham; his children, Reginald J. Smith of Malden, Christine M. Smith of New Bedford, James H. Smith (late Diane) of Somerville, Sharon Crowley (Charles) of New Bedford, Timothy Smith of Garland, ME and Denice M. Smith of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alyssa, Alyson, Christina, Lizzy, Charlie, Patrick, Eric, Jamie, Mathew and Kevin; his siblings, Eva Murray of Lynn, David Smith, Tootsie, Pauline, Bobby, Carol, Billy, Jeanie and Reginald; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy De Natale and Mica Cabral of Roslindale. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
