With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred J. Mendes Jr. of Wareham, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mendes and Mary Mendes (Cardoza); his son Robert Santos Mendes; his nephew David Cardoza; and his sister Mary.
He is survived by: his sister Mendes-Cardoza (Joseph'Max" Mendes); his nieces, Saundra Mendes-Silvia of Wareham, Lisa Cardoza of Wareham, Rita Mendes of Wareham and Marisa Cardoza of Wareham; his sister-in-law Augustina Mendes of Mashpee; his foster brother Joseph "Sonny" Amado of Bridgeport, CT; and his extended family, Richard Silvia, Anthony, Milena Mendes, Ebony Coleman, Jason Tavares, Jade Santos, Liz Malloy, Rosemarie'Dolly" Santos, Aiden Mendes, Mia Mendes, Coleman Brito, Taliyah Cardoza, Robin Mendes, Keith Mendes, Joseph Mendes, Maxine Albury, Kayla Albury, Bryn Mendes, Quentin Lopes, Kyle Mendes, Cheri Amado and Tiffany Lopes.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (7 Tihonet Rd, Wareham, MA 02571).
