He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Apostolos and Vasiliki (Zakada); his children, Paul (Vilma) and Bessie (Roger Cabanas); his wife Catherine; and his grandchildren, Chris Panagiotopoulos, Catherine Varitek (Panagiotopoulos), Angelo Panagiotopoulos, Catherine Tassopoulos, Debbie Gay (Panagiotopoulos), Olivia Riley (Tassopoulos) and Angelo Tassopoulos. He was also cherished by great grandchildren.
