He was predeceased by: his parents, John Young and Dorris Young; his significant other Donna Johnson Young; and his sisters, Susan Young, Carol Nash and Ann Marie Doherty.

He is survived by: his son Charles H. Young Jr.; his granddaughters, Grace, Kathryn, Julia, Kaylee, Hannah and Scarlett; his siblings, Marlene Roberge, John Young and Mark Young; and his pet Harry.
