He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret A. "Peggy" Hitchcock (Adams); and his parents, William N. Hitchcock and Lydia Lincoln Hitchcock (Ellis). He is survived by: his sister Barbara Haley of Rumford, ME; and his nephews, Joseph April (Judy) and James April (Deborah).

Donations in his memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, 11 Gibbs Ave., Wareham, MA 02571.
