He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ann Tavares (Leggett); his children, Brandon Tavares and Carrie Tavares-Brito; and his siblings, John Baptiste, Antone, Victor, Perry, Feliciano Tavares, Deolinda Borges and Jenny Baptiste. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
