He was predeceased by: his son David Gage. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sullivan Gage; his children, Neil A. Gage, Jr., Susan Denis, Marc Gage (Anne) and Tricia Bonifacio (Mark); and his brother Edwin. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
