He was predeceased by: his parents, Qingyong Qiu and Fuju Zhang; and his sibling Weilie Qiu. He is survived by: his wife Jianhui Yang; his daughters, Min Qiu (Zhengyu Long) and Li Qiu (Peng Ding); his grandchildren, Yenie Rice, Melissa Long, Zoey Long, Maya Ding and Marcus Ding; and his siblings, Weiyuan Qiu and Liuqing Qiu. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
