He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joyce and Mary Joyce (Duggan); his wife Bridget A. "Bridie" Egan; his brother John Joyce (late Angela); and his siblings-in-law, John Egan and Thomas Egan (Kathleen).

He is survived by: his daughter Ann Marie Joyce (Haluk Akbudak) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Ronan and Alan Akbudak; his siblings, Bridget Frazier (late Paul) of Rockport, Maryellen Costello (Joseph) of Athenry, Peter Joyce (Rose) of Queens and Paddy Joe Joyce (Kathleen) of Turloughmore; and his siblings-in-law, James Egan (late Mary "Una") of Cavan, Mary Sreda (late Stanley) of Sharon, Josephine Higgins (late Thomas) of Stoneham, Annie Byrd (late John "Jack") of Co and Theresa Glynn (late Myles) of Co. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
