He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Mary (Flaherty) and William Joseph Coyle; and his siblings, Robert Emmet, William Joseph Jr., Bernard Arnold and Michelle Anne.

He is survived by: his siblings, Brian, Michael, David, Margaret "Peggy" (Shanks) and Mary (Nevrekar); and his caregiver Koi.
