She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Dr. Thomas F. McCarthy; her husband John Kingsley Foster of Scarsdale; her sons, John Thomas Foster of Brooklyn, James Douglass Foster of Milton, Massachusetts and Jeffrey Lawrence Foster of Newton, Massachusetts.; her siblings, James McCarthy and Carol M. Bryan of Bryn Mawr; her daughter-in-law Kaci Foster; and also, Lisa Snyder, Pierce Foster, Abigail Foster, Malcolm Foster and Clare Foster.
