She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Nies and Florence Nies (Murphy); her husband Paul S. Waite; her daughter Laura Waite; her grandson Kenneth Rose; her close friend Ann Harding; and her brother Forrest Nies.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Waite of Waltham, Brian Waite (Barbara) of Ayer, Mark Waite of Waltham and Paula Rose; her grandchildren, Christy Waite, Brandon Rose and Brian Waite, Jr.; and her siblings, Edward Nies of Framingham, Robert Nies of Connecticut and Claire Yerardi. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
