Gloria J. (Scott) Champion Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria J. (Scott) Champion of Waltham, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert J. Scott and Helen M. Scott (Statkus); her siblings, Gilbert J. Scott Jr., Elizabeth Cusack (Richard) and Patricia Scott; and her grandmother Mary Statkus (Yarush).

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Fitzgerald (Frank) of Waltham, Bruce Thibault (Kathryn) of Waltham, Julie Champion of Waltham, William R. Champion (Christine) of Waltham and Andrew Champion (Stephanie) of Waltham; her grandchildren, AnneMarie Reynolds (Fitzgerald) of Waltham, Allison Fitzgerald of Lowell, April Fitzgerald of Waltham, Suzanne Galinsky (William) of Atkinson, NH, Michael Thibault (Emily) of Campton, NH, David Thibault (Brianna) of Ocala, FL, Sabryna Lepore of Waltham, William J. Champion of Waltham, Charlotte Champion of Waltham and Liam Champion of Waltham; her great grandchildren, Aiden, Daisy, Aurora, Taryn, Eva and Tiberius; her sister Mary Ellen Brennan (Donald) of Waltham; and her sister-in-law Betty Scott (Stutts). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A wake was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Joyce Funeral Home (245 Main St, Waltham, MA 02453). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (311 River St, Waltham, MA 02453). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the Mount Feake Cemetery (203 Prospect St, Waltham, MA 02453).
