She was predeceased by: her parents, Irish and Mary D. Reilly (Mulahy); her husband Thomas E. Desmond of Patrick's Church; her children, Eleanor P. Miele and John F. Desmond; her siblings, John, Thomas, Joseph Reilly, Mary Veno, Frances Sullivan, Catherine Grady and Theresa Melket; and her granddaughter Madeline Rose Desmond.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas W. Desmond (Patricia) of Hudson, Mary F. Cicciu (John) of Cotuit, William J. Desmond Dracut (Susan), Joseph P. Desmond of Newton, Edward G. Desmond (Sarah) of Hyde Park and Richard D. Desmond (Kelly) of Alexandria, Virginia; her children-in-law, George Miele of Watertown and Patricia Desmond of West Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Christopher Desmond (Jamie Lyons), Joseph Desmond (Kimberly), Michael Desmond (Elisabeth), Kelly, Bryan, Jenna and Tyler Desmond; and her great grandchildren, Destiny, Dillon, Robert and Emma Desmond. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
