He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter H. Murphy and Mary Murphy (Devaney); and his siblings, Mary, Joseph, Rose and John.
He is survived by: his children, Edward, James and Shannon; and his siblings, Theresa M. Denton (Doug) of San Diego, CA, Thomas Murphy of Canton and Michael Murphy (Christine) of Millis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Eaton Funeral Home (1351 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Church (1360 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). The military honors was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the S. Mary's Cemetery.
