It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Francis Donovan of Walpole, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Lawrence and Ellen "Eileen" Marie Donovan (McCarrick); his wife Annmarie T. Donovan; his sons, William "Billy" F. Donovan (Ashley Telles) of Wareham, Matthew S. Donovan (Kristen) of Walpole and Jeffrey M. Donovan (Allyson Semle) of Scarborough, Maine.; his grandchildren, Liam, James, Patrick, Quintin, Elanor and Everet; and his siblings, Patricia McLeod (Doug) of Marblehead, Kathleen Bruzzese (Tony) of Windham, John Donovan (Tammy) of Boston, Ellen Bower (Mark) of Hopkinton and Ed Donovan (Ellen) of Milton. He was also cherished by nine nieces and nephews, three great-nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home (48 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (10 Diamond St, Walpole, MA 02081). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Knollwood Memorial Park (321 High St, Canton, MA 02021).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy's memory may be made to the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids, a cause close to his heart, at 137 Stone Street, Walpole, MA 02081.
