He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Lawson and Dorris Lawson (Moore); and his sibling Carter Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Alice "Susan" Lawson (Kenny); his children, Katherine A. Trier (Henry) of Milton, Douglas E. Lawson (Chelsea) of Brookline and Andrea K. Marks (Ryan) of San Francisco; his grandchildren, Liam Trier, Dylan Trier, Owen Trier, Nora Trier, Duncan Lawson and Leona Marks; and his brother Eric Lawson, Jr. (Beverly) of Saratoga Springs. He is also survived by "Papa" to his five grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home (48 Common St, Walpole, MA 02081).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael's name may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association, 320 Nevada Street, Suite 201, Newton, MA 02460, https://www.alz.org, or to the Edith Nourse Rogers VA Medical Center, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730, noting on the memo line "General Post Funds 9006," (a fund to benefit Patient Recreational Therapy).
